At 6:15 Noah says "looks like morning to me Mom", I all but threatened his 5-year-old life and every toy in the house if he didn't go back to sleep....somehow it worked and I didn't see the whites of his eyes until 7. that is sleeping in to me! Thank God!
At 8:30 we were outside and ready to mow the lawn. Poor Peter has no idea what lawn mowing season is like. It means that he has to be patient with his Mom, because I LOVE and I mean really LOVE to mow the lawn. I hate to interrupted although given that there are two kids and a neighborhood full of people it is bound to happen. Eventually the task is finished. Then there was cleaning of the landscape, playing with Noah, napping for Peter, raking, more playing, trimming around sandbox etc.
At Noon Peter was up, we had lunch and biked to the store. Noah had a GREAT time biking and was very proud of himself for keeping up with me and not stopping unless we had to at corners (his line not mine). He loved biking. I had no idea. Now I really get why you see thousands of little boys and girls out there riding their bikes, they just love it, and they have more energy than 10 adults combined! Home for snack, playing and then a trip to the hardware store.
At 2:30 Peter was down for another nap. This time until 5!!! :) We loved it! We planted, played on the swing set, went to the neighbors, a neighbor thatched our yard (seriously, how did we luck out?!!?!?!? but THANKS!).
At 5:00 I talked to a dear dear friend and then we ate dinner.
At 6:00 we went for a walk because Noah wanted to pick up garbage. "I want to keep the earth clean and healthy Mom". He has been bugging me to do this for quite some time. I think he got the idea from something on TV, seeing the crews on the side of the road and because I have been known to pick up a thing or two on a walk. Again, sorry Noah, you get this weird shit from Mom! So I wouldn't let him do this without gloves on so he got out said "special gloves" and had to put on his blaze orange hat that Dad got him for $1. The hat was so "people could see me when I am bending over and I will stay safe". So we collected a bag of garbage. Noah wondered if we made God happy and I said I bet we did!
At 6:45 we, well I shoudl say Noah and Peter were, in the tub and there was NO POOPIN!! Poopin happened right before, Noah was thankful, but still enjoyed teasing me with one too many "code browns" shouted at the top of his lungs! Where does he get that from you ask? DAD!!!!
At 7:00 the weekly tradition of watching "House Building", really, Extreme Makeover Home Edition. He LOVES this. Not sure when we started this tradition but it seems like we have been watching this for a long time now.
At 8:00 we put together our Flat Stanley to send back to Max in Hudson. We had a lot of fun with Flat Stanley! Thanks Max!!! Hope he arrives at your school safe and sound. Noah wondered if he was "scared in the dark envelope" he then decided that the pictures we sent along would keep him from not being scared. I LOVE U Noah!!!
At 8:15 my ass was worn out from all the FunSunday.
How Sweet It Is!!!
